$4000 Donated for much needed Laparoscopic equipment for the Surgical team. These instruments are a high priority and will allow the surgeons to perform less invasive procedures with smaller incisions and therefore allow for shorter recovery times.

Blue Mountain Retired Women Teachers - Books for Babes


$200 donation involves members preparing and delivering bags of books to the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital Obstetrics ward, where hospital staff supports the branch’s effort and deliver a bag of books, and literature about the importance of reading, to each mother as she leaves the hospital with her newborn. The goal is to encourage a love of reading at a very young age.

Blue Mountain Foundation for the Arts - Arts Vest Program


$1200 donation for teaching non-profits in the arts & culture sector how to attain skills for success with sponsorships. Arts Vest will also match an increase in sponsor dollars. Sponsorship will go towards a Juried Art Show for students, a photo-essay contest, children’s art class and more.

$4000 donation to provide a program to homeless women, children, and youth rebuild their lives and create a more stable future by providing life skills, supports and transitional housing for up to one year along with personal counselling, supports for victims of domestic violence, weekly life skills assistance and counselling, assistance to become self-sufficient, support for young Moms, assistance with education/job search, court issue

My Friends House



$3500 donation to improve wheelchair access. Since opening in 1991 our organization has been committed to making the shelter accessible to women and children using a wheelchair but recently we recognized that more work needed to be done to improve accessibility outside of the shelter as well.
